press release new designers Ysh London

Representatives from the textile industries such as Graham and Brown, Hallmark Cards, Harlequin and Tigerprint are just some of the names attending this year. Some attendees also sponsor prizes – as previously covered in our blog, last year Graham and Brown bought Melissa Selmin’s wallpaper designs and sold them under their own label, a defining success story for Melissa.
The satellite event ‘New Designers - One Year on’ is one of the most successful and popular elements of New Designers. It showcases designer-makers featured the previous year whose work has matured and progressed into their own start-up business. YshLondon is in particular anticipation of Clair McInally’s work, which was featured last year and caught the eye of Oasis, the womenswear store, who bought up and manufactured her designs, and which will be in store later this year. Look out also for Sarah-Jayne Guest who used digital printing techniques to great effect with her collection of highly patterned and bright home furnishings. Sarah Jayne has also worked alongside teams at ELLE magazine and Selfridges - can’t wait to see her collection!
Previous New Designers exhibitors, who are now at the helm of the design industry, include Matthew Williamson and Ella Doran. Hot foot it down to New Designers to snap up the latest talent!
